Vacation Fun and Sun ????

We did have one day of sun this summer and I made sure to document that fine day. As my son guarded our local pool there were plenty of smiles and giggles.

I can only hope as we prepare for our vacation at the beach that the sun will shine.




Our bags are packed we are ready to go...please God do not make me spend 7 days in a sandy, cramped cottage with 15 of my closest relatives. I love them madly, but come on, I am too old to try and muster enthusiasm for puzzles and board games.

I have worked too hard to be bucking it up on my one week of vacation trying to make the best of a rainy situation.....

I just want to sit on the beach and watch the children frolic in the surf while I drink my ice coffee and enjoy my family in large open sandy spaces.

I want to hand out dollar bills for fried dough and french fries,
while I sit in my chair all day long.....
Please.... Mr. Golden Sun, please shine down on me.....

If not you will find me sitting on a wet sandy beach all by myself......
with my coffee, my blanket and my umbrella,
wet, but vacationing just the same :)
